Substantial Storage for Extensive Music Collections

It provides approximately 1,000GB of advertised storage. The number of tracks it holds depends on their length, audio format and file size, alongside the space used by exported library data.

Choose your capacity around the collection you intend to export, allowing room for future additions and the manufacturer’s recommended free space. Your computer may display a different capacity because of formatting and the units used to report storage.

Designed for rekordbox and Engine DJ Exports

A DJ library export involves more than copying music files. Your software also checks and updates playlists, cue points, metadata and track analysis information.

DJ TechTools selected the Chroma Drive’s memory for these numerous smaller-file operations, making it suitable for preparing and updating libraries in rekordbox and Engine DJ. Its USB 3.2 interface supports fast transfers, although actual export times depend on your computer, USB connection, software, library size and the files being updated.

Dual USB-A and USB-C Connectivity

Both USB-A and USB-C connectors are built into the Chroma Drive MK2, allowing direct connection to compatible computers and DJ equipment without a separate connector adapter.

USB-A supports compatible established media players, standalone systems and computers, while USB-C provides convenient connectivity with compatible laptops, mobile devices and newer DJ hardware. Pre-Formatted FAT32 for Broad Compatibility

The drive arrives pre-formatted as FAT32 for broad DJ equipment compatibility, including older players. Equipment-specific capacity and library limits still apply, so FAT32 formatting alone does not guarantee support for a 1TB drive on every player.

FAT32 has an individual file-size limit of approximately 4GB. The 1TB capacity increases the total storage space available but does not increase this per-file limit.

DJ TechTools recommends leaving 10–15% of the drive free to help avoid library issues. Keep a separate backup of your music collection and exported performance library.

Locking Metal Covers Protect Both Connectors

Each connector sits beneath an attached rotating metal cover that locks into position. Open the end you need while keeping the unused connector protected.

The covers remain attached to the drive, so there is no separate cap to leave behind in the DJ booth or lose inside your equipment bag.

Pop Pink Finish and Zinc-Alloy Housing
