Chauvet DJ D-Fi XLR TX Wireless DMX Transmitter
The Chauvet DJ D-Fi XLR TX brings wireless DMX transmission to compatible lighting setups. Its rechargeable battery and compact XLR design help reduce control cable runs between equipment. Pair it with compatible D-Fi receiving equipment for a practical wireless link at DJ events, parties, venues and mobile lighting applications alike.
Chauvet DJ D-Fi XLR TX Wireless DMX Transmitter
The Chauvet DJ D-Fi XLR TX lets you introduce wireless lighting control into a compatible DMX setup. Connect it to your equipment's DMX output to send control signals to compatible D-Fi receiving equipment, helping you bridge spaces where running a control cable would be inconvenient.
Its compact format suits mobile rigs where equipment space is limited. The transmitter can carry DMX commands or supported master/slave signals between similar fixtures, giving you options for controller-led shows and compatible linked lighting effects.
For an existing D-Fi system, this individual TX unit is a useful choice when you need a transmitter without buying a complete transmitter-and-receiver package.
System requirements: Compatible D-Fi receiving equipment is required separately. Check compatibility before ordering. The wireless connection carries lighting control; your fixtures still need their own power supply.
Is the Chauvet D-Fi XLR TX Right for Your Setup?
- Mobile DJs: Bridge awkward spaces between your lighting control source and compatible receivers.
- Event operators: Reduce control cable runs when planning temporary lighting layouts.
- Existing D-Fi users: Add a transmitter where receiving equipment is already available.
- Lighting technicians: Keep an additional TX unit available for compatible systems.
Check your receiving equipment and DMX connections before choosing the individual transmitter.

Chauvet D-Fi XLR TX Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Chauvet D-Fi XLR TX do?
It sends a wireless D-Fi lighting control signal from connected DMX source equipment to compatible receiving equipment.
Is this a transmitter or a receiver?
This is the TX transmitter. For the receiving end of the link, you need compatible D-Fi receiving equipment.
Do I need a separate receiver?
Yes, unless your lighting equipment already provides compatible D-Fi reception. Check the fixture's specifications before ordering.
Will it work with every wireless DMX product?
Compatibility must be checked. Sharing the same frequency band does not by itself establish compatibility between different wireless systems.
How long does the battery last?
CHAUVET specifies a maximum runtime of up to 11 hours.
How long does recharging take?
The manufacturer specifies a recharge time of four hours.
How do I select the wireless channel?
Switch the transmitter on and press the Menu button to cycle through its 16 wireless channels. Configure the receiving equipment to match.
Are the 16 wireless channels the same as DMX addresses?
No. The wireless channel selects the radio link. Your lighting fixtures still require the appropriate DMX addressing and operating modes.
Can it transmit master/slave signals?
Yes, CHAUVET lists support for master/slave transmission between similar fixtures. Check that your particular fixtures support the intended arrangement.
Does it replace power cables to my lights?
No. The wireless link carries control information. Each light still requires its own suitable power source.
