Yamaha DZR15 15" 2000Watt Active Speaker

The Yamaha DZR15 15-inch Active PA Speaker is a 2-way bass reflex, powerful loudspeaker which provides a staggering 2000-watt output. It features an integrated two-way quality Class-D amplifier, with a 15-inch low-frequency (LF) driver for powerful bass response and a 2-inch high-frequency (HF) driver. The active speaker includes 96kHz DSP processors for high-resolution sound, innovative FIR-X Tuning, D-Contour multi-band compressor and an LCD screen which can be found at the rear of the unit. The frequency response of the unit is an impressive 34Hz – 20kHz and has a sound pressure level of 139dB.

The 96kHz processors produce the high-power output, which provides high-resolution audio performance and low latency. The advanced FIR-X Tuning offers excellent sound clarity along with a smooth crossover, thanks to the linear phase FIR filters. Additionally, there are more EQ filtering options available for a little bit of extra fine-tuning.

The two-way Class-D amplifier is a smart design feature which can’t be found within previous models. The speaker comprises of a 15-inch LF driver featuring a 15-inch woofer with 3-inch voice coils for powerful bass response, a 2-inch HF driver featuring a 1-inch throat compression tweeter and a 2-inch voice coil, along with a Class-D amp at the centre of the unit. The amplifier produces a peak power of 2000 watts, powerful enough to deal with multiple applications. The D-Contour multi-band compressor provides clear, clean and constant audio, even when the volume is turned up high.

At the back of the DZR15, there is a built-in LCD screen where you can view and direct a number of settings. Some of those settings can be modified directly using the display and rotary dial, this includes DSP functions, loading presets, adjust the PEQ, delay and routing. There is also the availability for up to 8 user presets to be stored, and can be accessed immediately when needed.

The Yamaha speaker is ideal for portable or commercial use, thanks to its robust and sturdy frame. There are handles to make it easily transportable and features a rotatable horn which allows for both vertical and horizontal mounting. There are additional rigging points, pole sockets, and a 50° symmetrical floor monitor angle. At the rear of the unit, there are various connections, including two XLR/TRS Combo, two XLR outputs and a USB port.
