The Ultimax UTX 220BK is a professional telescopic speaker pole with an M20 threaded connection, designed for mounting compatible PA speakers above subwoofers. Ultimax UTX 220BK – Adjustable Telescopic Speaker Pole with M20 Thread
The Ultimax UTX 220BK is a professional telescopic speaker pole designed for positioning a compatible full-range PA speaker above a subwoofer equipped with an M20 threaded pole mount.
Ideal for professional mobile DJs, bands, live performers, venues and PA hire applications, the UTX 220BK provides a clean and space-efficient way of positioning your main PA speaker above a compatible subwoofer without requiring a separate tripod speaker stand.
The lower section of the pole uses an M20 threaded connection, allowing it to attach securely to the corresponding M20 mounting point found on many professional active and passive subwoofers.
At the top, the pole provides the mounting point for a compatible full-range PA speaker, creating the familiar subwoofer + pole + top speaker configuration widely used in professional portable PA systems.
Its telescopic design allows the speaker height to be adjusted to suit the PA configuration, audience and venue rather than restricting the top speaker to a single fixed position.
Finished in black, the UTX 220BK maintains a discreet and professional appearance between the subwoofer and full-range speaker.
For anyone building a professional PA system around compatible M20-equipped subwoofers and pole-mountable top speakers, the Ultimax UTX 220BK provides a practical adjustable mounting solution.
Who Is It For?
Users with M20-equipped subwoofers
Users building compact top-and-sub PA systems
Professional PA system owners
Why Choose the Ultimax UTX 220BK?
The UTX 220BK allows a compatible PA speaker to be positioned directly above an M20-equipped subwoofer, reducing the additional floor space required by a conventional tripod speaker stand.
Its telescopic construction provides adjustable speaker positioning, while the professional black finish keeps the overall PA system looking clean and coordinated.
It is particularly useful for mobile applications where space, transportability and professional presentation are important.
M20 Threaded Subwoofer Connection
The Ultimax UTX 220BK features an M20 threaded lower connection designed for use with compatible professional subwoofers.
The threaded pole screws into the corresponding M20 mounting point on the subwoofer, providing a purpose-designed connection between the subwoofer and speaker pole.
Always check the mounting specifications and compatibility of your speaker and subwoofer before installation.
Telescopic Height Adjustment
The UTX 220BK uses a telescopic design, allowing the position of the top speaker to be adjusted to suit the PA system and venue.
Raising the full-range speaker above the subwoofer can help position the high-frequency section more effectively towards the audience while also creating a clean professional PA configuration.
Ideal for Top & Subwoofer PA Systems
The UTX 220BK is particularly useful for systems configured as:
Active Subwoofer → UTX 220BK → Active PA Speaker
It can also be used with compatible passive equipment where the mounting requirements are suitable.
This arrangement uses the subwoofer as the base for the main speaker, reducing the floor space required compared with positioning a separate tripod stand alongside the subwoofer.
Space-Saving Alternative to Tripod Speaker Stands
One of the biggest advantages of an M20 speaker pole is its compact footprint.
Instead of positioning a tripod stand alongside each subwoofer, the full-range speaker can be mounted directly above the subwoofer.
For mobile DJs and performers working in venues where floor space can be limited, this can create a considerably cleaner and more efficient setup.
Professional Black Finish
The UTX 220BK is finished in black to complement professional PA speakers and subwoofers.
Once installed between two black speaker cabinets, the pole remains visually discreet and helps maintain a clean, professional appearance.
The Ultimax UTX 220BK Telescopic M20 Speaker Pole provides a practical and professional way to position a compatible full-range PA speaker directly above an M20-equipped subwoofer.
Its telescopic construction provides adjustable speaker positioning, while the M20 threaded lower connection is designed for use with compatible professional subwoofers.
Using a speaker pole above a subwoofer also reduces the additional floor space required by a conventional tripod speaker stand, making this configuration particularly useful for mobile DJs, bands and event professionals.
