The FBT X-SUB 112SA 12" Active Subwoofer delivers powerful, controlled low-frequency reinforcement in a compact format designed for live sound, mobile DJs and portable professional PA systems.

FBT describes the X-SUB 112SA as the ideal low-frequency extension for its X-LITE and X-PRO series, making it an excellent choice when greater bass extension and impact are required from an existing FBT PA setup.

At the heart of the X-SUB 112SA is a 12-inch low-frequency woofer with a 2.5-inch voice coil, housed within a bass-reflex enclosure. A built-in 1200W Class D amplifier provides the power required for professional sound reinforcement without the need for an external power amplifier.

With a frequency response of 48Hz to 120Hz, the X-SUB 112SA is engineered to reinforce the low-frequency content that smaller full-range PA speakers cannot reproduce with the same authority. FBT specifies a maximum output of 129dB continuous and 133dB peak SPL in half-space, providing substantial output from a relatively compact 12-inch design.

Integrated DSP provides four presets, allowing the subwoofer's performance to be optimised for different applications and system configurations.

The rear connection and control panel provides stereo XLR inputs, loop outputs and high-pass filtered outputs, alongside level adjustment and phase reverse. This gives sound engineers and performers the flexibility required to integrate the X-SUB 112SA with compatible full-range PA speakers and different system layouts.

The cabinet itself is manufactured from 15mm birch plywood and finished in scratch-resistant black paint, creating a robust enclosure suitable for regular professional use. Two aluminium handles assist with transportation, while the integrated M20 pole socket allows a compatible speaker pole to be securely mounted above the subwoofer.

Despite its professional output capabilities, the X-SUB 112SA remains relatively compact at 385 × 500 × 485mm and weighs 23.5kg, making it a practical choice for mobile systems where transport space and weight need to be considered alongside performance.
