beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO Professional Monitoring Headphones

The beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO Closed-Back Monitoring Headphones are compact professional headphones designed for accurate monitoring and reliable isolation in demanding, high-noise environments.

Purpose-built for applications including location sound, video production, live sound, FOH monitoring and DJ cueing, the DT 275 PRO combine a lightweight on-ear format with substantial passive noise attenuation and a sound signature designed to make important details easy to evaluate quickly.

A key feature is the impressive 22dBA ambient noise attenuation. The closed-back construction helps block surrounding noise passively, allowing engineers, production crews and DJs to hear important details without relying on electronic noise cancellation or unnecessarily increasing headphone levels.

Inside, low-impedance 45Ω dynamic drivers deliver a frequency response of 5Hz–24kHz, with a sound pressure level of 105dB SPL at 1mW / 500Hz and total harmonic distortion of less than 0.04%.

The DT 275 PRO's tuning is designed to provide clear evaluation of speech and levels, making the headphones particularly useful when checking dialogue, identifying unwanted noise, monitoring individual channels or cueing tracks in loud environments.

For location sound and video production, this makes it easier to identify issues such as clothing rustle, wind and audio dropouts while recording. For live engineers, the combination of passive isolation and clear monitoring helps when checking individual channels against the high sound pressure levels of a PA system. DJs benefit from the same isolation when cueing and beatmatching in loud booths.

Despite their professional construction, the DT 275 PRO weigh only 195g without the connecting cable. Combined with a nominal headband pressure of 4.3N, the lightweight construction is designed to remain practical during extended monitoring sessions.

The earcups can swivel through 90°, allowing the headphones to sit flat for storage while also making quick single-ear monitoring more convenient.

Cable management has also been designed around professional workflows. The 1.5m bayonet-locking cable can connect to either the left or right earcup, allowing the cable position to be selected according to the equipment, workspace or monitoring application.

A gold-plated 3.5mm stereo mini-jack provides broad compatibility with portable equipment, field recorders, camera systems and other devices, while an included 6.35mm adapter allows connection to professional mixers, consoles, audio interfaces and DJ equipment.

The DT 275 PRO are also designed to be fully serviceable, with replaceable ear pads, cable and headband cushion helping extend their useful working life.

Compact, lightweight and highly isolating, the beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO provide a professional monitoring solution for users who need to hear critical audio details clearly in challenging environments.

The DT 275 PRO combine 22dBA passive isolation with a lightweight 195g design, making them particularly well suited to professional monitoring in noisy environments.

Their 45Ω drivers work with a wide range of professional and portable equipment, while the swivelling earcups, dual-sided locking cable system and replaceable components make them practical for regular professional use.

Are the beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO Good for DJing?

Yes. Although the beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO are designed as professional monitoring headphones for several audio applications, their high-isolation construction and swivelling earcups make them particularly well suited to DJ cueing.

The closed-back on-ear design provides 22dBA of passive ambient noise attenuation, helping reduce low-frequency booth and PA noise when cueing tracks in loud environments.

The 90° swivelling earcups make single-ear monitoring straightforward, while the 45Ω impedance allows the headphones to work with a wide range of DJ mixers, controllers and other monitoring equipment.

A supplied 6.35mm adapter also allows direct connection to professional DJ headphone outputs.

beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO vs DT 270 PRO – What's the Difference?

Although the beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO and DT 270 PRO are both compact, closed-back professional headphones, they are designed for different monitoring environments. The DT 270 PRO uses an over-ear design and is primarily suited to studio recording, music production, podcasting and instrument practice, while the DT 275 PRO uses a compact on-ear design with high passive noise isolation for monitoring in louder, fast-paced environments.

Which Should You Choose?

Choose the beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO if you need compact professional headphones for DJ cueing, live sound, FOH monitoring, video production or other situations where strong passive isolation and quick handling are important. Choose the DT 270 PRO if your priority is studio recording, music production, podcasting or longer creative sessions where its over-ear design and soft velour ear pads are better suited to the workflow.

The beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO Closed-Back Monitoring Headphones are designed for professionals who need clear, dependable monitoring in loud and demanding environments.

With 22dBA passive noise attenuation, 45Ω dynamic drivers and a frequency response of 5Hz–24kHz, the DT 275 PRO provide the isolation and clarity required for location sound, video production, live sound, FOH and DJ cueing.

At only 195g, they're also exceptionally lightweight, while 90° swivelling earcups, a locking cable that can connect to either earcup and replaceable wear components make them practical for regular professional use.
